| Description | Plants electing 20-50cm tall. Stems hairy (small thorns). Leaves 6 verticillate, each leaflet 2.5-4cm long, 7-10mm wide. Flowers white, flowering in June to July. Perennial plants. |
| Note | Some authors have described Galium trifloriforme Komarov var. nipponicum (Makino) Nakai as a synonym of Galium trifloriforme Komarov var. trifloriforme. However, many Japanese authors have believed that Galium trifloriforme var. nipponicum is an independent variety of Galium trifloriforme var. trifloriforme. Stem of Galium trifloriforme var. trifloriforme has many very small spikes, but stem of Galium trifloriforme var. nipponicum has no spike. |
